Outstanding Conference

OUBC 2009 was a huge hit!  With over 220 students in attendance and over 100 professionals representing 22 sponsoring firms, this year is indeed the largest conference in history.  And it wasn't just great in quantity, it was great in quality.  Students and sponsors alike gave us great feedback following the event.  Some highlights

Recruiting Impact
- As a result of OUBC, students are more interested in working in leading financial services (2 of 4) and consulting firms (3 of 4)
- The organizers estimated over 50 interviews were conducted as a result or in connection with the conference, and anecdotal reports show many students have secured employment at sponsors

Empowerment Impact
- 95% of student participants say that OUBC has inspired them to come out at their future employers, showing a level of empowerment that benefits both the diversity of sponsoring firms and LGBT causes

Networking Impact
- Students and sponsors alike believe they had ample time to network with each other; students reported sending ~5 follow-up e-mails to sponsors following OUBC

Attached you'll see a one-pager summary of the conference, and a larger annual report (filled with photos, more anecdotes, and more statistics) can be forwarded to you if you send an e-mail to
info@outforbusiness.com.  (It's just too big to upload to our blog.  Sorry.)
